The Federal Government have stated that Nigerian security forces are trailing those undermining the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

Naija News reports that this was made known by the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno.

In a video where the security adviser was seen addressing the press, the NSA warned that dissidents would be “flushed out.”

While revealing that the government has provided intelligence agencies with a watchlist, Monguno warned Nigerians against inciting violence against the Buhari regime.

“I want to stress once more that any individual or group that thinks it can take it upon itself to cause disunity…and to push this country to the brink, should have a rethink,” he said.

He stated that the Nigerian government will deal with any individual who believes he has any support and intends to undermine the present administration.

“Already, the President has given directives to the military and intelligence organisations to trail and flush out all the people that have been on our watchlist,” the security chief said.

His comments come in the light of the repatriation of separatist leader, Nnamdi Kanu days ago.

Recall that Nnamdi Kanu was reportedly rearrested in Kenya and extradited back to Nigeria last Sunday after being tracked for two years by the federal government.

He was then arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako who ordered his remand in the custody of the DSS until his next trial date.
