Alleged Torture: Nnamdi Kanu Has Health Problem, Needs Urgent Medical Attention – Lawyer

The embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is said to be suffering from a heart ailment that requires urgent medical treatment.

In a statement on Friday, counsel to the IPOB leader, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, stated that his client is seriously sick and needs urgent medical attention.

According to Ejiofor, the IPOB leader was tortured and subjected to inhumane treatment by the Department of State Service (DSS) operatives.

Nnamdi Kanu Reveals Where He Was Captured, Tortured For 8 Days

The arrested leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has finally revealed details of where he was captured before being repatriated to Nigeria.

The detained IPOB leader told his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor on Friday that he was arrested and detained in Kenya for eight days.

Ejiofor narrated that his client was arrested by Kenya’s Special Police Force at the country’s international airport before he was eventually handed over to Nigerian security operatives.

As earlier reported by Naija News, Kanu was allowed access to his legal team on Friday by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Biafra: What Buhari Must Do To Arrested IPOB Leader – Nnamdi Kanu’s Kinsmen

The kinsmen of the Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to dialogue with the pro-Biafra activist.

Recall that Nnamdi Kanu was reportedly rearrested in Kenya and extradited back to Nigeria last Sunday.

He was then arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako who ordered his remand in the custody of the DSS until his next trial date.

Speaking to Vanguard, the immediate-past President General of Isiama Afaraukwu community, Kanu’s hometown, Chief Ikechukwu Ndubueze, expressed shock over the arrest of Kanu.
