The Countries Nnamdi Kanu Visited Before He Was Arrested
The leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, visited some countries before he was arrested by Interpol on Sunday.
It was gathered that the IPOB leader was flown into the country on Sunday and brought before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.
Justice Nyako ordered Kanu to be remanded in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) till July 26.
The Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, who announced the arrest of Kanu at a media briefing on Tuesday, did not state where he was nabbed.
According to Daily Trust, the IPOB leader visited Singapore and went to the Czech Republic on Friday en route to the UK.
The news platform noted that he was arrested in Prague, the Czech Republic on Saturday, and flown back to Nigeria on Sunday.
There has been controversy over the country where Kanu was arrested with ThisDay claiming that the IPOB leader was arrested in Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia.
Meanwhile, IPOB in a statement released on Wednesday through its spokesman, Emma Powerful, has promised to disclose the information around his arrest.
