Ngige Reveals What He Did To Get Anambra People Join APC

Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has disclosed what he did to convince the people of Anambra State to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking on Channels Television programme earlier today, Ngige said he brought all Federal Government alleviation programmes into the state in other to make residents join the Nigeria ruling party.

Naija News reports that Ngige in his speech lament the APC primaries held in the state. The minister faulted the election that produced Senator Andy Uba as the APC candidate in the Anambra gubernatorial poll.

He said: “It’s not a case of you didn’t mobilise. All the aspirants contributed money when we were doing the registration.

“All the aspirants were interested in going to the wards and getting people out.

“I, as a minister, I brought some of the poverty alleviation programmes to many of the communities to get people (you know, to ginger them) to join my party,” Ngige noted.

Meanwhile, a prominent Nigerian lawyer, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN) has described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as a highly unprincipled party.

The Chair­man of the Presidential Ad­visory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) said this on Monday while reacting to the planned defection of Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, Naija News reports.
