Aisha Buhari is expected to jet out of Nigeria to London, the United Kingdom, ahead of President Buhari’s medical vacation.

According to SaharaReporters, Aisha Buhari is expected to join some of her children who had left Nigeria.

It was gathered that President Buhari would also join his wife and kids in London in a yet to be announced date.

“All President Muhammadu Buhari’s children have moved to London in advance of his medical trip. He will travel anytime from now. His wife, Aisha will join the children today,” a source told SaharaReporters.

Recall that Buhari had earlier announced the postponement of his medical trip to London, earlier scheduled for Friday.

Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, did not give reasons for the postponement in a statement he issued.

The statement only said a new date will be announced in due course.

Buhari’s trip to the UK had attracted condemnation for coming at a time Nigerian doctors were threatening to go on strike.

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) had told the federal government to resolve all pending issues affecting the union in four weeks or face the consequences.

The president of the association, Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi during a media briefing noted that the ultimatum was issued after a meeting of the union’s national executive council (NEC).

He accused the government of not treating their issues and agreements with expected alacrity hence the need to issue the deadline.

Recall that the doctors had embarked on a strike on April 1 but suspended it off on April 10 based on an agreement with the government to attend to their 13-point demand.

But Okhuaihesuyi said the government has so far failed to hounour the agreements reached before the strike was called off.
