Gunmen Break Into Abuja Hotel, Abduct Guests

Unknown gunmen invaded the Hilltop Hotel at Tunga Maje, Abuna in the early hours of Thursday and abducted some guests.

It was reported that the armed men shot unchallenged for over 30 minutes before whisking their victims away.

There were claims that a former lawmaker in Kogi State, Hon. Friday Sani Makama was among the abducted guests.

Tunga Maje over the week has recorded multiple attacks in the current wave of insecurity in the nation’s capital.

As at the time of filing this report, the kidnappers are yet to contact the family members of the victims or their friends.

The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the FCT police command, Mariam Yusuf.

“The command has launched a strategic operation to rescue the victims unhurt,” she said.
