Why We Don’t Want Middle Belt In Biafra – BNL

The Biafra Nations League (BNL) has given reasons why Igala and the entire Middle Belt should not be included in the map of Biafra.

Recall that the Chairman of the Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA) working committee, Comrade Enemona Omattah had stated that the Igala tribe will not be part of Biafra.

Omattah called on the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to count the Igalas out of any plan to secede from Nigeria. He made this known to newsmen in Lokoja on Monday.

Reacting in a statement jointly signed by BNL National Leader, Princewill Chimezie Richard; Deputy National Leade and Head of Operations, BBs Media, Ebuta Akor Takon and BNL Chief of General Staff, Linus Essien, the group insisted that the Middle Belt will only be added to Biafra if they show interest to be part of it.

BNL noted that the Middle Belt played a major role in seing to the defeat of Biafra during the war.

IPOB: COAS Storms Imo State, Gives Fresh Directives To Troops

The Chief of Army Staff, Major-General Farouk Yahaya has paid an on-the-spot visit to Imo to assess the security situation in the state.

Yahaya visited Owerri, the Imo State capital on Wednesday and met with troops of 34 Brigade in Obinze Barracks.

During the visit, the Army chief called on the soldiers to be decisive in dealing with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and all other groups responsible for disturbing the peace of the state.

While praising the troops for their commitment to duty, he also charged them to be professional and loyal in the discharge of their constitutional responsibility.

Gumi Defends Herdsmen, Reveals Why They Are Better Than IPOB

Controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has declared that criminal herdsmen are better than members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

In his explanation of his position, Gumi submitted that the herdsmen commit crimes that are not as weighty as those committed by IPOB members.

Speaking on Wednesday during an appearance on Arise TV, Sheikh Gumi declared that IPOB kills security operatives expected to protect Nigerians but the herdsmen only kidnap children to make money through ransom.

He, therefore, submitted that it is unfair to compare the two groups.

Gumi called for “fairness” in the comparison between the two groups, saying one “is killing our gallant men” while the other is “kidnapping children to make money and not to kill them”.
