Leicester City striker, Jamie Vardy has joined the league of football club owners after investing in the US-based team, Rochester Rhinos.

It was gathered that the England striker acquired a minority stake in Rochester Rhinos, which has not played a competitive game for the past four years.

The development was disclosed by the New York-based club in a statement released on Twitter.

The statement read: “The Rochester Rhinos are delighted to announce that Premier League star Jamie Vardy has become a co-owner of the club.”

“We are delighted that Vardy has chosen to join us as a co-owner.”

The 34-year-old player helped his club to finish the fifth position on the Premier League table last season.
