Inter Milan midfielder, Christian Eriksen has shared the first picture of himself in hospital since collapsing on the pitch during the last weekend.

Recall that Eriksen on Saturday, June 12 suffered a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 opener against Finland. After many minutes of checks, the player was carried out of the pitch on stretcher and put on hospital bed, Naija News understands.

Speaking and sharing his photo for the first time after the incident, Eriksen took to his Instagram page and wrote:

“Hello everyone! Big thanks for your sweet and amazing greetings and messages from all around the world. It means a lot to me and my family.”

“I’m fine – under the circumstances. I still have to go through some examinations at the hospital, but I feel okay.

“Now, I will cheer on the boys on the Denmark team in the next matches. Play for all of Denmark. Best Christian”

Naija News had reported earlier that the Danish professional footballer in a short statement released through his agent, thanked fans for their support and concern and vowed to find out why he suffered a serious health emergency.

The statement reads: “Thank you, I won’t give up. I feel better now – but I want to understand what’s happened.

‘I want to say thank you all for what you did for me. Now he just has to rest, with him are his wife and parents,’ Eriksen’s agent added.

‘He will remain under observation. But in any case, he wants to cheer on his teammates against Belgium.’
