Good day, Nigeria, welcome to Naija News roundup of Biafra/IPOB news headlines for today Monday, June 14th, 2021.
Below is a roundup of top stories on Biafra, IPOB, ESN, Nnamdi Kanu and other pro-Biafra groups:
The head of the Biafra Customary Government (BCG), Mujahid Asari Dokubo, has described the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, as a criminal.
Naija News reports that the former Niger Delta militant leader stated this in a video he released on social media.
While accusing the IPOB leader of using the “Biafran struggle” as a business venture, Dokubo claimed Nnamdi Kanu has been diverting funds meant for the Biafran cause.
Dokubo said: “They are now telling us India, Russia etc. This is how they audit accounts. This is what Biafra will look like under the criminal Nnamdi Kanu.”
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has reacted to the comment of Apostle Johnson Suleman claiming that those calling for Biafra have God.
The founder of the Omega Fire Ministry had warned President Muhammadu Buhari to be careful in his dealing with IPOB because God may speak for them.
The cleric had issued the warning after President Buhari in an interview on Arise TV threatened to mobilize security agents to treat IPOB in the language they understand.
However, a few hours after the president threatened to deal with IPOB members, bandits invaded Zamfara State and killed some residents.
A Sunday morning attack by some gunmen in Akwa Ibom has claimed the life of a mobile police officer, Naija News reports.
Reports revealed that the criminal group stormed a police station in the Ini Local Government Area of the state in the early hours of today and shot dead a mobile police officer in a gun duel that reportedly lasted several minutes.
A source who confirmed the incident to newsmen with a plea not to be mentioned, said one of the assailants identified as Imo Udo, was arrested while others escaped with bullets wounds.
