Who Elected Him? Ganduje Told To Stop Parading Himself As APC National Chairman

Governor Umar Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has stated that he is not planning to retire from active politics after his tenure ends in 2023.

Naija News reports that his Katsina counterpart, Aminu Bello Masari had recently revealed that he won’t be contesting any political position after his tenure ends.

Speaking to newsmen, Ganduje said his political influence can not be tamed in a few years as he is still active in the system.

He said: “My Political dexterity goes beyond the 1970s and I will remain active in politics even beyond 2023 not retiring because I’m not entirely tired of the system”.

While revealing that he does not know the position he would be going for in 2023, the Kano governor insisted that he will remain active because that is what he has done since the early 70s.

On his successor, Ganduje assured that delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who are going to vote for the next person will do a diligent job.

“On who will succeed me, I think one should allow the delegates to decide that because as you rightly know, Kano politics is something else you don’t sometimes interfere with and if you do you will be on your own,” he said.
