The Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli has expressed great concerns about the frequent cases of bandits’ attack in Zaria.

The first-class traditional ruler lamented on Monday that the Emirate is under siege.

The Emir made his views known when he hosted a delegation of Security Heads led by the Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.

Bamalli expressed worries that residents of the Emirate no longer feel safe and he thereafter called on the government to urgently find a solution to the security challenges.

Speaking further, the Emir submitted that the current situation is unacceptable as, despite the presence of military facilities and training schools in the area, criminals are still having a field day terrorizing residents.

He extended condolences to those affected by the recent attack on Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic and other such incidents, urging the government to do all necessary to prevent such future occurrences and keep the entire state safe.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s 1999 constitution has been described by the General-Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, as a fraud.

The cleric while speaking in Lagos in commemoration of the June 12 Democracy Day said the 1999 constitution is inconsistent and a military imposition.

He said: “You see all this trying to tinker with the constitution; I am just laughing because in the process, let me just restrain myself there because I don’t want others to think their effort is not appreciated.”

“But the truth of the matter is you can paper-wall a crack all you want to, it’s a matter of time. The crack will surface. This constitution is not by the people and it’s not for the people.”
