’37 killed’ as Cholera spreads to 15 LGAs in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Primary Health Care Authority says 37 people have died of cholera in the state so far.

TheCable quoted the chairman of the commission Rilwanu Mohammed as saying the disease had spread to 15 local government areas of the state.

He said that as of May 25, 2021, 1,799 people had been infected.

The affected local government areas are Bauchi; Darazo; Dass; Giade; Ganjuwa; Jama’are; Misau; Ningi; Shira; Tafawa; Balewa; Warji; Alkaleri; Kirfi, Shira, Zaki.

“The worst affected areas are Bauchi (1,334) and Ningi (91) Dass (60),” he said.
