Rapper Ruggedman Tackles Adamu Garba Over Statement On Twitter Ban, Warns Him Not To Be Heartless
Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman has tackle Former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, over his statement on the suspension of Twitter operations indefinitely in Nigeria.
Naija News had earlier reported that the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, on Friday disclosed the development in a statement released in Abuja. Federal Government noted that the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence is the reason for its action.
The rapper who sat in an instalive with Garba and comedian Seyilaw asserted that it is troubling that the issue being discussed in the country is “ban of a social media platform” when there are so many pressing issues affecting the lives of Nigerians bordering on the economy and security.
Ruggedman also noted that as big and verse as the country is, nothing is being produced in the country, further alleging that the argument many are putting out is that “kilishi is a technological breakthrough”. He recounted how a Nigerian minister boosted that pencils will soon be produced in the country, the rapper asked why it is easier for Nigerian youths to succeed abroad than in the country.
Recalling how Adamu Garba promoted his own ‘social media platform’ after the Twitter ban was announced, the former presidential aspirant chipped in that he is a “businessman”.
Firing back at him, Ruggedman stressed that it was ill-timed and further stated that Garba shouldn’t be heartless even though he is a businessman.
