BREAKING: At Least 28 Killed As Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Attack Benue Community

No fewer than forty persons have been reportedly killed in Benue State community by unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.

Reports reaching Naija News at this time revealed that the armed men on Sunday night, stormed Odugbeho, a town in Agatu Local Government Area of the state and left the community in anguish.

Though the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Anene Sewuese Catharine, has told newsmen that he is yet to receive any report on the incident, the Senator representing the Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Abah Moro, confirmed the horrible situation in a post on his social media page, Facebook precisely.

The senator, who condemned the attack on his constituency, lamented the incessant killings in the area stating that “enough should be enough”.

He wrote: “I’m deeply saddened by the attack on Odugbeho community in Agatu LGA on Sunday, which claimed over 40 lives of my constituents. This is highly condemnable and very unacceptable.

“For how long will this carnage continue unabated in Benue South? Enough should be enough”.

Meanwhile, one of the school children kidnapped by bandits from the Salihu Tanko Islamic School in Tegina, Niger State about a week ago has reportedly died in the custody of the abductors.
Reports have it that the lifeless body of the three-year-old child was discovered a few kilometers from Tegina town.

The father of one of the abducted students, Tanko Zegi, confirmed the death of the child but the cause of death remains unknown.
