Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has inaugurated 580 houses, which were immediately distributed to those in the refugee camps.

Leadership newspaper reports that the beneficiaries of these homes have been living in refugee camps for years.

Professor  Zulum built the houses in Auno, Konduga Local Government Area, where a short ceremony was held before the houses were distributed to the poor.

The event held on Thursday, June 3, 2021, was attended by Borno State government officials, the district head of Auno and the general public.

The Babagana government, Umara Zulum, has distributed 580 houses to the displaced in an effort to persuade them to leave the IDP camp.

The houses were built by the state Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement with the approval of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.

The commissioner of the ministry, Mustapha Gubio and the special adviser on sustainable development, partnerships and humanitarian support, Dr. Mairo Mandara oversaw the distribution.
