Welcome to the roundup of the latest Transfer news for today, Friday, 4th, June 2021.

Bissouma drops series of Arsenal hints

Arsenal fans have gone into meltdown this week after Yves Bissouma dropped repeated hints that he is open to joining the Gunners.

One area that is a priority for Arsenal in the transfer window is in the middle of the park as Granit Xhaka expected to leave the club with Bissouma tipped as his replacement.

Everton to release 4 players

Everton will release Joshua King, Theo Walcott, Yannick Bolasie and Muhamed Besic when their contracts expire at the end of June.

None of the four fringe players has done enough to earn a new deal, and will all move on to pastures new.

On-loan goalkeeper Robin Olsen, meanwhile, will not join permanently and will return to his parent club, Roma.

Arsenal ramp up Buendia interest

Emi Buendia has been linked with Arsenal for some time now, but it looks like their interest is firming up.

According to Football. London, they have made an official offer for him over and above £30m.

Giroud extends Chelsea deal

Chelsea has extended Olivier Giroud’s contract by one year.

The Blues triggered the option in April meaning he is tied down until 2022.

Giroud was linked with a move to AC Milan this summer but it seems the Frenchman is staying put for the time being.

Thiago Silva extends Chelsea stay

Thiago Silva has extended his stay at Chelsea until 2022.

The Blues exercised the option to extend his deal by a year after an impressive season with Thomas Tuchel’s men.

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia said:

“When we brought Thiago Silva in last summer, we knew we were adding a world-class player to the squad. Thiago has duly shown everyone at Chelsea his immense quality throughout this season, and he has had a huge influence on and off the pitch for us.

“We said when he signed that we hoped Thiago would add new trophies to his impressive list of honours, and he has done just that with our success in the Champions League this weekend. We now hope that he carries on in exactly the same fashion in the coming year.”
