The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the appointment of an Acting Registrar/Chief Executive in the person of Ebikibina John Ogborodi from Bayelsa State.

Ogborodi was appointed based on the approval of the Governing Board of the examinations council as contained in a statement by NECO spokesperson, Azeez Sani.

Sani noted that the approval was given by the Governing Board at its emergency meeting held on 2nd June, 2021 based on the fact that Mr. Ogborodi is the current most senior Director in the council.

The appointment comes two days after the death of the previous NECO boss, Professor Godswill Obioma.
