Transfer: Man City Set For Shock Move For Lukaku

Belgian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Inter Milan, Romelu Lukaku, has confirmed he is staying with the club.

The 28-year-old player quashed news making the rounds about his possible return to English Premier League club, Chelsea.

Naija News understands that Lukaku has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer transfer. The former Everton and Manchester United player has, however, said he is enjoying Milan and is not ready to leave.

Speaking on the development, Lukaku confirmed that his wish is to stay at Inter Milan next season despite transfer interest from the Premier League club.

“Yes, I am staying,” Lukaku told Dutch broadcaster VTM.

He added: “I have already had contact with the man who normally becomes our new manager. Maybe I shouldn’t say that yet… but it was a very positive conversation.”

“There is also the challenge of doing it again [winning the league with Inter]. I feel good at Inter.”

Lukaku enjoyed a stellar season in Italy and led Antonio Conte’s side to win the Serie A title, scoring 24 goals in the league.

Meanwhile, Nigerian professional football player, John Mikel Obi has renewed his contract with the English professional club, Stoke City.
