Shehu Sani Knocks Buhari Over Extended Stay In London For Medical Attention

Former Nigerian lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has taken to social media to make a mockery out of President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech on the nations current insecurity challenges on Tuesday.

Naija News understands that President Buhari’s address yesterday following a security briefing from members of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, over attack on its facilities, threatened to deal with those who carried out the attacks, stirred a barrage of reactions on and off social media.

There have been calls from Nigerians that Buhari and not his media aides should address the nation on the spate of insecurity in the country. However, until recent killings of government officials and series of attacks on government properties in the South-East part of the country, the president has remained mute over happenings across the states.

Responding to the situations yesterday, Buhari said individuals or groups seeking to destroy his government will receive the shock of their lives, adding that they will be treated in a language they will understand.

His statement generated comments by citizens who presumed the president is directly issuing a ‘war threat’ against the Igbo speaking people.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle to react to Buhari’s threat and comments from Nigerians, Shehu Sani wrote: “The President should talk to us….The President should address us…The President should speak to us….now una don hear am.”

Naija News understands the senator is trying to say that Nigerians got the answer they wanted from the president.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, on Tuesday, threatened that the group will avenge any Biafran killed by security agents in the country.

Naija News reports that the IPOB stated this while sharing some images of South Easterners allegedly killed by security operatives in the region. Kanu noted that IPOB is ready to take Biafra by force since the Federal Government has failed to conduct a referendum.
