The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, today announced that all tuition fee payable by students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, is now reduced by 25%.

Naija News reports that the governor declared this on Tuesday when he visited Ogbomoso to inspect and commission some projects.

Makinde assured the students that since his government has now secured sole ownership, the university would no longer experience incessant strikes. Reiterating that the tuition fee reduction applies to all students regardless of their status.

Also today, Makinde and his entourage inspected the 3km Under G-Stadium-LAUTECH-2nd Gate Road which was reconstructed and lit by his administration.

The governor took a walk down the length of the road and thereby had the opportunity to interact with residents in the area.

In the same development, the governor commissioned the High Dependency Unit (HDU) at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.

In his remark, Makinde said the HDU will provide secondary healthcare services for individuals who need more extensive care.
