Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has described his side’s clash with Chelsea FC in the UEFA Champions League as ‘once beaten twice shy.’

Speaking to Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, on his YouTube channel, the City boss vowed not to lose again to Thomas Tuchel‘s side.

Naija News understands that the two Premier League clubs will battle each other in the Champions League final this Saturday. Tuchel has faced and defeated Guardiola twice since his arrival at Stamford Bridge in January.

However, Guardiola while recalling the loss to the Blues in both FA Cup semi-final and Premier League, said he is confident their previous matches will not be in his players’ minds come the big night.

“Absolutely nothing, zero” – said City boss when asked whether the recent defeats will hand Tuchel’s side any kind of advantage.

He added: “I know how we prepared for this final and the reason why we came just two days after qualifying through the Dortmund game and after the semi-finals, you know in that moment – well deserved, congratulations to Chelsea, but it’s a new game, we’ll face them Saturday and see what happens.”
