Unknown gunmen on Tuesday set ablaze the office of the National Drug Law enforcement Agency, in Amaekpu Ohafia Local Government Area office.

The development was confirmed by the state Commandant, Mr Akingbade Bamidele, adding that there was no casualty.

This is coming after armed men set ablaze the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia state.

Confirming the sad incident in a statement on Monday, INEC spokesman, Festus Okoye, said the incident occurred on Sunday night.

He said that the building which was recently renovated was burnt down, adding that apart from furniture items, all electoral materials and office equipment were destroyed.

Okoye, however, noted that there are no casualties on the part of the staff on guard duty, saying that the matter has been reported to the police for investigation.
