Shehu Sani Reacts As Bandits Attack Mosque, Kidnap 40 Worshippers
The former lawmaker representing Kaduna central senatorial district, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the abduction of Muslim worshippers by bandits in Kwata, Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Naija News had earlier reported at least 40 Muslim worshippers, including women and children, have been kidnapped from a mosque in Jibiya town in Katsina State, North-West Nigeria.
The assailants were said to have struck around 2 am in the early hours of Monday, whisking away 47 worshippers to an undisclosed location but seven of the abductees managed to escape and return to the community.
Sani in his reaction to the development on Twitter described the incident as unfortunate and sad.
He wrote, “The news that Bandits invaded a mosque in Katsina and abducted twelve people during Night prayers is unfortunate and Sad.”
“Complete devotion is impossible when one’s ears are with the Iman and eyes are watching out through the windows.”\
In another development, unknown gunmen have unleashed another round of mayhem on security formations in Anambra State, attacking the Ozubulu police station.
The gunmen also attacked the Anambra State Vigilante office at Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the state.
