Breaking: Lalong Arrives National Assembly For Swearing-in As Senator (Video)

Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has been described as one of the most honest governors who do not run their administration with religious gimmicks.

This submission was made on Twitter by a netizen identified as Mu’awiyyah Muye, who Naija News understands is a citizen of Plateau.

According to the netizen, Lalong despite being a honest man running the affairs of the state without sentiment of any kind, doesn’t get enough credit he deserved.

He tweeted: “I am going to keep saying this, Governor Samuel Lalong doesn’t get enough credit. He is a honest man that doesn’t need religion gimmick to govern properly, we need more of him. God bless the people of Plateau.”

Responding to Muye’s assertion, another netizen with the username [@Uniform87260634] tweeted: “I think it is the first time in Jos they’ll have a governor who doesn’t side with a particular religion, hence the kind of peace they have there now but some people still wants to truncate that.”

However, Abdulwasiu [@jwastecx] who has a contrary belief on the Plateau State Governor, said Lalong had remained silent while the people of Plateau are being killed daily by Fulani herdsmen, adding that the governor have allowed immigrant to troop into Jos North without check.

His tweet reads: “Lalong doesn’t cry out when his people are killed by marauding herdsmen and he has allowed the immigrant to get their way in Jos north. Why wouldn’t the most tribalistic elements that don’t care about anyone else except themselves praised him?”

Meanwhile, Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has on Thursday set up an eight-man strategy committee to fight corruption in the state.

According to the Governor, there is the need to fight corruption by ensuring accountability and transparency at all levels.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Usman Alhaji, Ganduje noted that the task before the committee includes developing effective framworks to combat corruption in the state which he lamented is killing everyone one in the country.
