A woman has been served an additional decade in prison after she was caught with a loaded pistol concealed in her vagina.

It was gathered that Amy Wilhite escaped security check at the Boone County Jail in Missouri, US, with the firearm hidden in her private part unnoticed.

Naija News understands that officers at the correctional centre could not discover that the 39-year-old lady brought the .22 calibre revolver to prison despite carrying out a pat and a strip search on her and others.

However, weeks later, the gun fully loaded with five rounds was discovered and Wilhite was summoned for interrogations.

“They didn’t track it down until 17 days later, at which point it was wrapped up in plastic among White’s possessions,” the Smoking Gun reports. In a probable cause statement, investigators alleged that Wilhite had “removed the firearm from her body and concealed it within her personal belongings.”

During questioning at the jail, Wilhite admitted possessing the firearm, but claimed: “she was only holding it for another female detainee.”

However, fellow inmates in Wilhite’s housing unit “all stated Amy was in possession of the firearm,” an investigator reported. Wilhite after many interrogations pleaded guilty to “delivery or concealment” of the weapon at a Circuit Court hearing.

She also pleaded guilty to felony drug and weapons counts for which she was originally arrested and told to serve five years on each conviction. All terms will run concurrently, Naija News learnt.

Meanwhile, men of the Oyo State chapter of Operation Amotekun corps in a joint operation with the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) have arrested six bandits terrorising the Kajola Local Government Area of the state.

Naija News reports that the criminals were arrested with deadly weapons, cash and cows inside a forest in the axis.
