Six Bandits’ Informants Arrested In Niger State

Security agencies have arrested six informants of armed bandits terrorising communities in Niger State.

It was gathered that the suspects are responsible for feeding terrorists with information about the movement of security operatives.

Security operatives arrested the suspects in Shiroro and Munya local government areas of the state.

According to a security source, the informants were apprehended while on their way to give information about the movement of troops deployed to the areas to the bandits.

A medical doctor, some youths and farmers are said to be among those arrested.

Another source, disclosed that the suspects are currently in the custody of the police undergoing interrogations over the alleged crime.

In another development, two military officers have been killed by gunmen at a military checkpoint in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi state.

It was gathered that the incident happened around 9pm on Monday.
