A report is currently making the rounds that Kaduna State University has hiked its tuition fees from N26,000 to N500,000 for non indigenes.

However, the alleged tuition fee hike which is coming at a time the state is witnessing series of insurgent attacks has been described as mere rumour by the Management of the Kaduna State University.

The varsity management in a statement released via its official Twitter handle during the weekend, admonished students, parents and the general public to disregard the news in the social media and other outlets regarding the review of tuition fees.

The management said it held a meeting with students of the University on Thursday, 22nd April, 2021 and enlightened to allay fears.

It further explained that though tuition fees would be reviewed upward with specific fees on each course but yet to be announced.

The school management in the statement signed by Adamu Nuhu, its public relation officer, insists that figures being spread in the social media are false.

The public will be informed on any new developments within the shortest possible time,” the management noted.
