NAF Helicopters, Troops Save IGP’s Hometown From Boko Haram Attack

Troops of the Nigerian Military on Friday prevented Boko Haram fighters from overrunning Gaidam town in Yobe State.

Naija News reports that Gaidam is the hometown of the newly appointed Acting Inspector-General of Police, Baba Alkali, and the immediate past governor of Yobe State, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam.

President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has been condemned by the Peoples Democratic Party for defending the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, over pro-terrorist comments he made in the past.

Bandits who stormed Greenfield University, a privately-owned tertiary institution in Kaduna State, and kidnapped some students have killed three of the students abducted on Wednesday.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has cautioned the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and followers against instigating a civil war in the country.
