Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has vowed to ensure that Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha faces the law for defiling a 14-year-old girl, revealing they might twerk the law in his favor because of his celebrity status.

The actress made this known in a series of post on Instagram, where she called on Nigerian mothers to protect their daughters against predators like the Nollywood actor. She further urged her fans to tag international bodies and right authorities who can uphold the law.

Sharing photos of the rapist, she wrote;

ANYONE WITH INFORMATION ON THIS PLEASE CONTACT ME.. This EVIL MAN MUST NOT BE RELEASED NOT GRANTED BAIL..
They may twerk the law to his favour as a celebrity, WHAT WE SHLD ALL DO IS REPOST THIS AND TAG FOREGIN AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES. HE RAPED US ALL WHEN HE RAPED HER… MOTHERS COME OUT THEY HAVE STABBED US”

In another post, she wrote;

‘If the allegations are true. I HOPE HE ROTS IN JAIL AND THEY DO SAME THING TO HIM WHEN HIS SOAP DROPS.. IF THIS IS TRUE I WILL PERSONALLY MAKE SURE HE NEVER SEES THE LIGHT OF DAY. WE WILL TOGETHER AS WOMEN STAND UP AND USE YOUR VOICE TO MAKE AWARENESS OF WHAT THIS MAN HAS DONE.”

Naija News recalls Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju James, professionally known as Baba Ijesha, was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for defiling a minor. The spokesman of the command, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement released on Thursday said the case of defilement was filed on 19th April, 2021 by one Princess Adekola Adekanya at Sabo Police Station.

It has been transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos for investigation. There are claims that the actor started sexually assaulting the victim, 14 years, since she was 7 years old. Adejobi noted that Baba Ijesha confessed to the crime and was also captured by a CCTV camera in the house of the complainant. The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has promised that justice will be done in the matter.
