Unknown Man Steals 3 Month Old Child From Mother’s Bedroom In Imo

A yet to be identified person has reportedly sneaked a three months old child away from her mother’s room in Imo State.

Naija News learnt that the incident happened around 11 am at the Egbeada Housing Estate in Owerri on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

Reports revealed that the child, Precious Silas, was stolen away after the mother, Mrs Chidinma Silas, stepped out of the house to get an item within their neighbourhood.

The worried mother, Chidinma, while speaking with newsmen about the incident in Owerri earlier, said the suspect broke into her bedroom and stole the child, leaving his two-year-old brother behind.

She said, “When I looked closely, I noticed that the padlock I used to lock the door to my house had been broken. When I went inside, I discovered that my baby had been taken away. I felt someone might be playing pranks on me but as the day went by, I didn’t hear anything from anyone.

“I immediately went to the estate security to report the incident and they said no one had left the gates to the estate as of that moment.

“I have also gone to the police and the Army brigade to report. I’m dying here. I don’t know how I will survive without my child.”

However, the police spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, when contacted said he is yet to be briefed on the incident.
