Kenya’s athlete, Emmanuel Naibei has won the 2021 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon for the male category.

Naibei won the 42km race which started at the traditional starting point, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos under strict COVID-19 guidelines.

Naija News reports that the Kenyan goes home with $30,000 as cash prize.

Earlier, the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, Saturday morning, flagged off the marathon.

Dare commenced organisers of the event for restoring the culture of marathon race in Nigeria.
