Tinubu: Bashir Ahmad Reacts To Planned Merger Between Atiku, Kwankwaso, Peter Obi

The personal assistant on new media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad on Saturday evening, took a swipe at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the violence that broke out at its zonal congress.

The presidential aide mocked the PDP by taking to Twitter to write that manipulation is synonymous with the party.

He wondered why thugs had to storm the congress of the opposition party which is supposed to be an internal affair.

It would be recalled as earlier reported by Naija News that the northwest zonal congress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was forced to end abruptly on Saturday after thugs invaded the venue and disrupted the event.

It was gathered that ballot boxes were snatched at the event held in Kaduna State while some of the delegates were wounded as supporters clashed.

The venue was thrown into chaos and confusion as supporters of the major contenders for the position of National Vice Chairman for northwest zone clashed.

Reacting to the development, Ahmad took to his Twitter account where he wrote: “So PDP sent thugs to disrupt and destroy materials for their own zonal congress in Kaduna. God is the greatest! Some things are just natural, they can never change, no matter what. It is for our own good to accept that PDP and manipulation will always go in the same direction.”

Meanwhile, Governors elected under the Peoples Democratic Party on Friday condemned President Muhammadu Buhari‘s no-fly-zone order in Zamfara State to check illegal arms and gold trade in the state.

The Governors of the main opposition party accused the President of being biased against states controlled by the opposition.

The PDP Governors disclosed this in a statement released on Friday after their meeting in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
