The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has mocked the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) for quickly revealing the identity of the attackers of the Imo Police Headquarters.

This online newspaper had reported how gunmen attacked two government facilities, razed their operational vehicles, and freed over 1800 inmates.

In a post on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, the IPOB leader slammed the Police for being unable to apprehend or identify those behind the killing on Ebonyi villagers which occurred last week.

Nnamdi Kanu accused the Nigeria Police of playing silly and childish mind games.

He wrote: “Apparently the world renowned clueless Nigeria Police knows who attacked Owerri Prison few minutes after the event, but don’t know who attacked Ebonyi Community more than a week after innocent villagers were murdered.

“Fulani Police with their silly & childish mind games.”

Naija News recalls that the outgoing Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu on Monday declared that members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) carried out the attack on the Imo State Police Headquarters and Nigerian Prison facility.

He said in a statement on Monday that ESN, which is the security arm of the proscribed IPOB was responsible for the attack on the Imo State Police Command headquarters and the Owerri Correctional Prison.

The Police boss’s statement comes after IPOB had initially denied media reports that it was responsible for the attack on Imo Police Headquarters and Correctional Centre.

In a statement on Monday by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB said the attacks were not carried out by operatives of Eastern Security Network (ESN).

He warned those linking IPOB and ESN to the attacks to stop because the group was formed on the principle of peace.
