Relatives of a family of five have been thrown into confusion as gunmen suspected to be bandits kidnapped the family members while returning from Easter break trip.

Reports reaching Naija News at this time confirmed that the family from Ajowa Akoko in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State were ambushed by some yet to be identified gunmen at Ayere Area in Kogi State on Sunday.

Naija News understands that the abductees include a father, Mr Ibrahim Olusa, his wife and their three children.

They were said to be travelling to Abuja from Ajowa Akoko, where they went for Easter celebration before they were abducted.

It was gathered that the kidnappers have contacted the family and demanded N10 million before they could be released.

Confirming the report, a Community leader in Ajowa Akoko and immediate past Chairman of Ajowa Akoko Community Council, Mr Ajayi Bakare, blamed kidnapping and robbery activities on that road to the deplorable section of the road that belongs to Kogi State, Naija News reports.
