Abike Dabiri Moves To Help Homeless Girl Turned Shoe Cobbler – [Video]

The chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has moved to assist a young girl spotted on the street doing shoe cobbling work.

Naija News understands that Dabiri-Erewa’s attention was drawn to the homeless girl after a concerned Nigerian identified as Kola Airfinance Mohammed [@airfinance20] on Twitter, shared a video of the physically challenged girl working under the sun to feed herself.

According to the netizen, the girl is always at the spot where he captured the video, mending and shinning shoes to make a living.

When asked about her name, the girl first said Dorcas then with a giggle of an eye she said ‘Zainab’, noting that she had nowhere to call home.

“She is always at this spot, homeless and this is what she does and she is physically challenged,” Mohammed shared.

Inviting Dabiri-Erewa to assist the young girl, the netizen added: “Abike Dabiri you are the 3 human angels that I know of with good hearts. She needs more instrument..listen to her, please”.

Subsequently, reports emerged that Halima could not be found on the spot. However, efforts are said to be in place to locate and connect her.
