Former Nigerian political and military leader, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday, April 4, hosted some northern leaders at his presidential library in Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State.

Reports reaching Naija News at this time confirmed that the Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain, today received the presence of the prominent leaders from the North region, led by a renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi.

The closed-door meeting was confirmed by Obasanjo’s media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, THE PUNCH reports.

“It’s not that the meeting was held, it is still going on and it’s not just between the two of them, it’s a stakeholders meeting holding at his residence here in Abeokuta,” said Akinyemi when asked to confirm the report on the meeting.
