Bandits have killed at least eight people, and injured four others in separate attacks in Chikun, Giwa and Kajuru local government areas of Kaduna State.

The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in the state, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the attacks in a statement released on Wednesday.

Aruwan noted that the bandits shot at a vehicle at Kan Hawa Zankoro, near Ungwan Yako in Chikun Local Government Area, which forced the vehicle to somersault, and six persons killed.

The Commissioner further stated that four others were injured in the attack.

Those who lost their lives in the crash are listed as Aisha Bello, Uwaliya Alhaji Shehu, Ramatu Sani, Muhammad Shehu, Aminu Ibrahim, and Ibrahim Abdu.

The commissioner identified the injured victims as Zainab Alhaji Usman, Surayya Bello, Khalifa Sani, and Ushe Sani.

Another person identified as Amos Yari was killed in an attack on Iburu in Kajuru LGA, a resident identified as Amos Yari was said to have been killed.

The gunmen also reportedly invaded Hayin Kanwa village, Fatika district in the Giwa LGA, and “shot dead one Alhaji Sule, a businessman in the area, after he resisted their attempts to kidnap him”.

Meanwhile, Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, on Wednesday, disclosed that Fulani bandits are at war with Ansaru terrorist group who are attacking northern part of Nigeria.

According to the Guardian, the cleric noted that the ideology of terrorist groups is different from the plans of terrorist groups, adding that Fulani man is concerned about survival.
