The spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed has carpeted the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government, saying it has run out of ideas.

Baba-Ahmed said banditry and kidnappings have grown so big to become an industry right under the nose of the president and the current government has failed to prove its capability in dealing with the monster.

NNPC Gives Update On Increasing Petrol Pump Price In Nigeria

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has declared that the pump price per litre of petrol won’t be increased until the federal government concludes negotiations with labour.

The group general manager, group public affairs division of NNPC, Kennie Obateru made the disclosure in a statement released on Friday.

Boko Haram: Nigerian Army Says Troops Didn’t Protest But Gave Mild Complaints

The Nigerian Army on Friday declared that some troops deployed in Operation Lafiya Dole didn’t protest their posting but only mildly complained about some issues.

The Army in a statement signed by the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima also debunked reports that the troops besieged the headquarters of the Theatre Command in Borno State, shooting sporadically into the air on Thursday to protest over alleged unpaid operational allowances as well as obsoleted equipment.

2023: Fayemi Speaks On Excluding Presidential Candidates Above 60

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has faulted a comment made by his one of his aide that presidential candidates above 60 years should be exempted from the 2023 elections.

Naija News reports one of the governor’s aide, Makinde Araoye, at a recent event said that candidates above 60 should not be allowed to participate in the 2023 presidential election.

UTME: JAMB Speaks On How Candidates Without Sim Cards Will Register For Exam

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it is seeking a waiver from the federal government to allow some affected applicants for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry examination to purchase new Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) card for registration.

The JAMB Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede said this in Abuja on Friday during a virtual meeting with owners of Computer Based Test Centres, service providers and other stakeholders to kickstart the 2021 UTME/DE registration.
