The father of one of the abducted students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Bando, Kaduna State, Ibrahim Shamaki, is dead.

It was gathered that the father of Fatima Shamaki died on Friday at his residence at Badawara, Kaduna State.

Shamaki lost his life as a result of his deteriorating health resulting from the abduction of his daughter.

A human rights activist and lawyer identified as Prof. Chidi Odinkalu announced the development on his Twitter account.

Fatima was among the 39 students that were abducted by bandits on the 11th of March, 2021 and ever since have been in their kidnapper’s den.

Meanwhile, Islamic cleric, Ahmad Gumi, has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s shoot-on-order is hindering the release of the abducted students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Kaduna.

Naija News had earlier reported this month that the President directed security operatives in the country to shoot-on-sight any criminal carrying AK-47.
