What Sanwo-Olu Told Super Eagles Players During Visit [Photos]

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has wished the Super Eagles goodluck ahead of their first game in the state in 10 years.

He made this known on Wednesday when players and officials of the team paid him a visit at the State House, Marina.

The Super Eagles were led by the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, and Coach Gernot Rohr.

The governor after hosting the players shared photos on his official Twitter handle noted that Football is a national treasure for Nigerians.

“We held a reception for our dear Super Eagles at the State House in Lagos as they prepare for their AFCON Qualifiers.

“Football is a national treasure for us as Nigerians and Lagos has historically favoured the Super Eagles so we wished them well with prayers and good cheer,” he wrote.

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, presented a signed jersey to the governor on behalf of the team.

The Super Eagles, three-time champions of Africa is scheduled to play Lesotho on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium for Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
