Fuel Subsidy: Kwara Govt Cancels 3-Day Working Week, Orders Workers To Resume Normal 5-Days Working Week

The Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, on Tuesday, forwarded the names of Commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.

The Speaker of the house, Engr Danladi Yakubu Salihu, read the Governor’s message during plenary at the floor of the House on Tuesday.

In another development, there was violent at the C&S College Sabo-Oke, in Ilorin, on Monday following the plan by some unidentified persons to gain access to the school.

There were claims that the students of the school were chased away due to the crisis that rocked the school and its environs on Monday.

Recall that the state government has directed all the ten mission schools shut down due to hijab controversy to resume classes to enable intending WASC students to prepare for their examinations.

The mission schools, however, insisted that the hijab would not be allowed on its premises while demanding that the school be returned to its original owners.
