Mahadi Shehu Granted Bail By The Court

The Federal High Court in Kano State has granted bail to Mahadi Shehu, a Kaduna- based business mogul.

Delivering the verdict in court on Thursday, Justice Ambrose Alagoa set bail at N10 million.

Other conditions include a surety who own a property worth N10 million, and the property must be in Kano.

However, the court said he would be remanded in custody until he meets bail conditions. The hearing is set for May 19.

The Katsina state government has indicted Mahadi, a Whistle Blower on charges of “cybercrimes” after he accused the government of embezzling funds earmarked for security.

He had granted interviews with Television and Radio stations, accusing Katsina Governor Bello Masari of embezzling public funds.
