Late Nollywood Actor, Ernest Asuzu’s Burial Date Revealed

Months after popular Nollywood actor, Ernest Chidozia Asuzu passed away, members of his family has announced his burial arrangement.

Naija News reports that Asuzu slumped and died on Tuesday, January 26 at the age of 36.

The Nollywood actor who had suffered a stroke since 2015 made headlines when a video of him pleading for alms went viral on social media. The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) had set up a committee to raise funds for Asuzu when he was sick.

The AGN President, Emeka Rollas, said that the body has set up a committee to raise funds for its ailing member, Asuzu.

However, month after months, the late actor’s wife, Jennifer Asuzu, announced that her husband died on Tuesday evening at the age of 36. She said Asuzu fainted on Tuesday evening around 9 pm and died afterwards.

According to Jennifer, her husbands’ remains are on the way to the east for funeral rites.

The actor’s wife was said to have called actor and politician, Desmond Elliot to announce the death to him.

An obituary released, however, that Asuzu will be laid to rest on April 13, 2021. A service of songs will be held on Monday, April 12, Naija News understands.
