Buhari Not Happy That Nigerians Are Suffering – FG Speaks On Naira Notes Scarcity

President Muhammadu Buhari has been charged to immediately declare bandits terrorizing different parts of the nation as terrorists.

The call was made by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, (NYCN) who noted that the move will effectively curb their activities.

The group in a statement on Sunday, issued by its Vice President, South West, Comrade Dotun Omoleye lamented that Nigerians are no longer safe and therefore urged the federal government to take urgent and drastic action in curtailing the activities of the bandits.

The statement reads in part: “The attack on the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, coming just few days after gunmen attacked FAAN’s quarters in Igabi Local Government Area of the state is becoming an eyesore, and a wake-up call on the government to appropriately designate these enemies of the State as terrorists following the determination of President Buhari’s opposition to negotiating with these bandits,” Omoleye stated.

“Without doubt, if we do not want our nation to be overrun by violent and gun-wielding criminals by whose activities the peace and stability of our nation is becoming fragile daily; the Federal Government must be courageous enough to bandy these enemies as terrorists as they do not deserve the perceived pampering they currently enjoy.

“We salute the sacrifices of the Nigerian security agencies towards protecting the people but it is becoming obvious that unless these bandits are so classified, the presidential directive to shoot holders of illegal AK-47 may not yield productive results”.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has reacted after operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) invaded the camp of Fulani herdsmen in Enugu State.

In a viral video at the weekend, ESN operatives were seen chasing the herdsmen out of the forest and killing their cows.

It was learned that residents of the area had earlier warned the herders against the destruction of their farms by their cows but ignored the warning.

However, ESN operatives chased the herdsmen out of the bush, warning them not to return if they value their lives.

But in a tweet via his Twitter page on Sunday, Nnamdi Kanu said he approved the operations by the ESN to protect his people.
