Imo State: 'Forgive And Forget' - Uzodinma Pleads With Okorocha

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide (OYC) has warned a group known as the Concerned Northern Forum (CNF) to stop meddling in the political issues of the Southeast or have them to contend with.

Naija News reports that the CNF had in a press statement called for the immediate arrest of former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha.

Reacting, President-General of the Igbo group, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, warned that it would no longer entertain a situation where faceless groups in the North would be abusing Igbo leaders.

Ohanaeze said “at a time the North should busy itself with the total collapse of security, certain faceless groups are more concerned with dishing out trash against a revered Igbo leader, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

“We warn these faceless meddlesome interlopers and their sponsors to desist from their destructive path or have us to contend with.

“We know credible organizations in the North, and they cannot be used for such a dirty job, little wonder the sponsors opted for a non-existing group and faceless individuals.

“Having said that, the OYC sternly warns the so-called Concerned Northern Forum to confront bandits and other terrorists threatening the existence of the North and allow Ndigbo to handle their affairs.

“Similarly, we equally call on Imo State Traditional Rulers, especially those of them from Orlu extraction, to face their duty as custodian of culture and traditional instead of taking sides in the political war between Okorocha and Imo Governor, Hope Uzodinma.

“Gov Uzodimma should advise himself and put a stop to this show of vendetta and stop this public naked dance.

“The demolition of Somtochukwu Hospital, Ecstatic roundabouts and other projects done by Okorocha without any replacement plan is awkward and retrogressive. The intention to demolish more can no longer be tolerated. Igbo youths, therefore, ask Gov Uzodinma allow peace reign amongst Ndigbo.

“Okorocha in every standard and ramifications is outstanding and from our evaluation during his time as Governor was the most prolific, most performed governor in the history of Imo State.

“It is a time for both leaders to close ranks and work together. We urge Uzodinma to put to a stop any further harassment of Okorocha as this current wind will blow no one any good. The Governor should face governance and stop the current drift.”
