Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has accused a yet-to-be-named person of sponsoring bandits attack in Zamfara State.

In a post on his Twitter page, the chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), commiserated with Governor Bello Matawalle over the latest attack in his state.

According to the former Minister of Culture and Tourism, the constant insurgent attack in Zamfara is troubling.

Fani-Kayode wrote: “Events unfolding in Zamfara state are deeply troubling.

“My heart goes out to my friend & brother Bello Matawalle and to the people of the state.

“Somebody is purposely stoking the fire of insurgency in Zamfara and orchestrating this crisis.

“We shall expose him. More on this later.”

Naija News reports that Zamfara has been rocked with killings and kidnapping, which led to President Muhammadu Buhari declaring a no-fly zone on the state.

The president also banned mining activities in a bid to put an end to the continuous killing in the state.

Recall that gunmen suspected to be bandits on Wednesday attacked Tungar Baushe community in Mutunji district, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State and abducted 50 persons.

The gunmen had earlier asked Tungar Baushe residents to pay a fixed levy to avoid being attacked.

But the residents chose to escape to a neighbouring community called Ruwan Tofa.

Their action was said to have irked the bandits who stormed Ruwan Tofa and identified those who fled from Tungar Baushe.

It was gathered that houses were burnt in the attacks which occurred on Wednesday night.
