State Governors To Hold Emergency Meeting On Thursday

All Nigerian State Governors will on Thursday, March 4 hold an emergency meeting.

According to the spokesman for the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo who disclosed the meeting agenda, all governors will attend the meeting virtually.

Naija News understands that the meeting was meant for deliberation on COVID-19 vaccination and distribution across all states of the federation.

“The meeting is of a single-item agenda, which will discuss the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccines and their distribution in the country,” Bello-Barkindo confirmed.

He disclosed further that the meeting is scheduled to commence at 5 p.m today. Naija News had reported that the federal government received 3.92 million doses of Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine on Tuesday.

The COVID-19 remedy was shipped into Nigeria via the COVAX Facility. The health agency confirmed on its official Twitter handle on Wednesday that 16 deaths were recorded in Nigeria to make a total of 1939 deaths cases of the novel virus since its outbreak in the country.
