Gov Bagudu Of Kebbi Loses Brother

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has reportedly lost his brother, Shehu Bagudu.

The sad development was confirmed a few hours ago via the Twitter handle of the state government, Naija News reports. The post on the microblogging platform revealed that the deceased died at the age of 55 after a brief illness in the Federal capital city of Nigeria, Abuja.

The tweet reads, “INNA LILLLAHI WA INNA ILAIHI RAJIUN”

“The death of the younger brother of Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Shehu Bagudu, has occurred. Aged 55, the deceased died this evening, at a private hospital in Abuja following a brief illness.”

Meanwhile, two officers of the Nigeria Police in Cross River State were killed by unknown gunmen on Wednesday, March 3.

Naija News reports that the state force spokesperson, Irene Ugbo, who spoke with reporters on the incident a few moments ago recounts that the sad development brings to six the number of personnel killed in the last six days in the state.
