FG Gives Update On Casualties Of Imo Refinery Fire

A fire outbreak has been reported at the Nigerian Army Headquarters complex in Abuja, Naija News reports.

In a statement on Tuesday, signed by the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, the fire outbreak was caused by faulty electrical installations.

He revealed that the Army Headquarters complex is currently undergoing some renovation involving electrical rework.

The Army spokesman noted that the incident happened at about 10.15 am, adding no casualty was recorded during the fire incident.

Yerima added that the Nigerian Army Fire Service Department has since put out the fire and normalcy has returned to the complex.

The statement read: “Electrical fault sparked a minor fire incident at the Army Headquarters Complex, Abuja, Tuesday morning.

“The incident which happened at about 10.15am was as a result of minor electrical fault in one of the offices.

“The Army Headquarters complex is currently undergoing some renovation involving electrical rework.

“The Nigerian Army Fire Service Department has since put out the fire. No casualty was recorded during the incident and normalcy has since returned to the complex”.
